Access to the site is available from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday night. This is a great time to set-up/decorate your tent and take a look at the course. Team Rented Tents will be setup and your Team Name will be on your tent. It is strongly suggested that captains come down to finalize waivers and familiarize themselves with the site. All paddlers must sign a paper waiver or electronic waiver to participate. Teams will get their wristbands when waivers have been turned in to registration and verified either a paper waiver or electronic waiver has been executed.
Saturday: The park will open at 6:30. There is a drop-off area and volunteers available to assist in bringing heavy items to your tent.
We will be beach loading the boats. This means you will get wet up to your knees at least. Please bring water shoes or old sneakers. There will be changing tents available.
Alcohol is not allowed.
A mandatory captains meeting will take place at 7:45 a.m.

Friday, August 31, 2018 is the last day to register your team for this year’s Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival. There are 5 spots left available for this year. You still have a chance to get on the water and compete for this year’s coveted Paddle Trophy. Don’t miss your chance. If you do not have a full team, register as an individual…other teams would be glad to have another paddler join them. Paddles Up!
Online Waivers will remain available until Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Please pass the word to all participants of the 2018 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival to sign the waiver. You can also download a paper copy and bring that with you on Saturday…however, to speed up the process of registration it is preferred to fill out the Online Waiver. Thanks for helping the festival in its green efforts.
This Friday, August 31, 2018, all online registrations end and Registrations Fees MUST BE PAID IN FULL.
Community Teams, BCS Teams and Individual Registrations (only 5 spots available for this years festival of 36 teams)
Electronic On-Line Waivers
This allows the Festival Team the time necessary to complete the race schedule, the plan for the venue setup, sorting and determining the paper waivers that will be needed, check in setup for the racing bands for team members, etc…etc…etc.
To all who have completed the online waivers…THANK YOU. If you have yet to complete the online waiver, Friday is the deadline. Pass the word around and help cut down on the amount of paper needed for this process.
On-Water Practices are this week…Tuesday-Thursday from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Please come out and get in a dragon boat!
On-Water Practices for the weekend have ended. Thanks to those paddles who came out over the two days to get a practice. If you have not scheduled your practice please pick a time on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 6-8pm. Each night we expect to train and practice with 72 paddlers each night. Practice makes perfect and some great teamwork was witnessed over the weekend. Paddles Up!
Paddling In Sync is the key to a winning team. Practices start this weekend. Sign up either as a team (Captains do this for all team members) or sign up as an individual if you cannot practice with your team. The video link below shows the proper way to paddle. Make sure to sign the Electronic Waiver…save time and paper.
