Paddling In Sync is the key to a winning team. Practices start this weekend. Sign up either as a team (Captains do this for all team members) or sign up as an individual if you cannot practice with your team. The video link below shows the proper way to paddle. Make sure to sign the Electronic Waiver…save time and paper.

2018 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival Registration Deadline, August 31, 2018

The Registration Deadline for the 2018 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival is fast approaching. Team, Vendors and anyone wishing to Rent a Tent must register by August 31, 2018.

There are currently 20 Registered Teams with 5 Teams Registered Pending Payment. This year the festival is being capped at a total of 36 teams.

Don’t miss out on some friendly competition to support a great cause. There will be great Food and Merchandise Vendors for the day.

So Get Registered so you can get your On-Water Practice scheduled and completed.

On-Water Practice

This year individual team members who have not scheduled a time with their team will be able to pick a time that works for their schedule. Team captains can schedule all their team members at the same time to practice as a team. Sat, August 25 starting at 9am, Sun, August 26 starting at 3pm and Tues-Thurs, August 28-30 starting at 6pm. Sign your festival waiver form online or bring the paper form with you for practice. Paddles Up!

Registration Ends on August 31, 2018

Registration for the 2018 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival ends on Friday, August 31, 2018. Don’t miss your opportunity to compete in this annual event. This year a maximum of 36 teams can register for the event. BCS teams must have at least 14 BCS team members and the rest of the team can be support team members. Check out the many great vendors who will be providing wonderful food and merchandise as well as educational materials on cancer. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed to be a part of the day. On-water practice starts on Saturday, August 25 at 9:00am, Sunday, August 26 at 3:00pm and Tuesday-Thursday, August 28-30 starting at 6:00pm. Each team must have at least 10 team members attend and participate in an On-Water Practice. Safety of all participants of the festival is our goal!

Have You Scheduled Your On-Water Practice?

On-Water Practice

Have you scheduled your on-water practice for the 2018 Kentucky Dragon Boat Festival? Teams must have a minimum of 10 paddlers attend an on-water practice this year. This is for the safety of all participants of the festival. Saturday, August 25 starting at 9:00am and Sunday, August 26 starting at 3:00pm are the two big days for practice. The following Tuesday-Wednesday, August 28-30 will have evening practices starting at 6:00pm. Captains…if you wish to have your entire team practice together please sign up as many of your paddlers for the same time slot. You do not have to practice with your team to meet the requirement of an on-water practice for this year.
